The Recreational Fishing Alliance of NSW employs a fishing safety officer whose role is to consult and liaise with the fishing community, government agencies, marine and safety organisations, with special emphasis on working with the culturally and linguistically diverse groups in the community, many of whom are very keen rock fishers.
The Recreational Fishing Alliance of NSW also works closely with the Australian National Sportfishing Association (NSW) on the Angel Rings project, installing and maintaining these life saving buoys at key rock fishing locations on the NSW coast.
